“Create your own visual style... let it be unique for yourself and yet identifiable for others.” - Orson Welles
A huge part of my creative journey involved watercolor painting. I love how the paints react to water, how the colors dance on the surface and that no matter how you manipulate it, the outcome is still unpredictable.
One of the things I love about my journals is that I get to document my watercolor journey in a very personal way. That each of my journals tell a story of their own, and that I get to see how far I've come from where I started.
I also don't need to feel limited to one sketchbook, I get to add in several watercolor inserts anytime I wanted. I love that I also get to decorate my covers, and create dashboards that go along with it.
Planners and travel journals, no matter how you use them, be it planning, bullet journaling, painting or memory keeping, it gives joy to an individual. It helps us express ourselves in ways that sometimes needs more than just words to be expressed.
